Some of our shows are ideal for kids, sometimes the work is clearly intended for adults, and sometimes it is dependent upon the specific maturity of our younger audience members. We want to make it possible for you to discern which of our shows will be most suited to you and your guests. REMNANTS is an epic tale based on the biblical story of Joseph set in the 1930s-1950s, suitable for adults and mature younger audience members. It contains coarse language, sexual innuendo and occasional violent themes. This show is suited for patrons who enjoyed such productions as THE CLEARING, MERCY WILD or THE DOMINO HEART. 2007-2008 Season - PT Goes to the Movies DRIVING MISS DAISY is suitable for most audience members. It is the story of a Southern, Jewish senior who, after getting into a car wreck, finds she needs to have a permament chauffer. The original crusty relationship between Miss Wortham and Hoke slowly melts away, eventually leading to a precious and lasting friendship. Please note there is some very occasional, very mild language. This show is suited for patrons who enjoyed such productions as THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, DAMIEN or A BRIGHT PARTICULAR STAR. THIS WONDERFUL LIFE is suitable for all audience members. A one-person variation of the heartwarming classic, It’s a Wonderful Life, this tender and funny Christmas play is an imaginative tour-de-force that follows the life of one despairing man who, at Christmas-time, learns what an inspiring and influential life he has lead. This play does contain a slight dark edge that only ends up sweetening its wholesome, timeless theme. This Wonderful Life is suited for patrons who enjoyed such productions as THE FARNDALE… CHRISTMAS CAROL, CHICKENS or HALO. A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS is suitable for adults and mature younger audience members. Set in the early 16th-Century, this play examines one man’s battle against King Henry VIII and his kowtowing statesmen. This play examines issues of faith and conscience, and it contains occasional language and swearing. This show is suited for patrons who enjoyed such productions as THE CLEARING, SHADOWLANDS, and AGNES OF GOD. THE WOODSMAN is not suitable for young audiences. It is the story of a child molester who has been released from prison after 12 years and begins a romance with a woman where he works. This play examines pedophilia and has sexual content and very coarse language. This show is suited for patrons who enjoyed such productions as ESPRESSO, PRODIGAL SON, and GRACE. YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU is suitable for all audience members. This comedy of a family full of harmless idiosyncrasies will amuse children and adults alike. This show is suited for patrons who enjoyed such productions as LETTICE AND LOVAGE, FARNDALE...CHRISTMAS CAROL, and CHICKENS. |
