Ron is also a widely-produced playwright. BOOK OF THE DRAGON won the Chalmers Canadian Play Award in 1997, and TENT MEETING (a collaboration with Morris Ertman) was nominated for Toronto's Dora Mavor Moore Award and Edmonton's Sterling Award as Outstanding New Play. A BRIGHT PARTICULAR STAR premiered at Pacific Theatre in May 2006. Other works include REFUGE OF LIES, YOU STILL CAN'T, DREAMS OF KINGS & CARPENTERS and REMNANT. Ron teaches acting and playwriting at Trinity Western University, where he is currently Artist In Residence, and The Christian Imagination and occasional summer school courses for Regent College. He is a regular participant at the Lamb's Players Writers' Week in San Diego and the Art Within New Play Symposium and Showcase in Atlanta, and chaired the CITA New Play Committee for several years. Ron is currently at work on a book, Soul Food Movies: A Guide to films with a spiritual flavour.
