While in England, Julie took part in theatrical productions in a number of capacities: actor, stage manager, and director, with a number of amateur and professional theatre companies, including the Durham Medieval Drama Society, Durham Gender Action Group, and Thynk Byggly Productions (Oxford). Back in Canada, she has been involved in New Brunswick’s Shakespeare Festival by the Marsh and Vancouver’s Walking Fish Festival. When she is not coming up with lively adjectives for press releases, Julie can be found at home with her nose buried in a book, a mug of steaming hot coffee in her hand. |
Julie is excited to return to Pacific Theatre in the capacity of Director of Development, Human Resources, and Public Relations. Before leaving for England to pursue a Ph.D. in English Drama, Julie half lived at Pacific Theatre, serving as volunteer usher, box office salesperson, sous-chef for post-premiere parties (‘sous chef’ used broadly, as she was largely responsible for putting cheese and crackers on plates!), and devoted patron.
